The AEW Big Business theme takes over AEW Dynamite tonight, and is it finally time for Mercedes Moné?

The TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts will be playing host to tonight's special event. AEW founder Tony Khan has heavily teased the arrival of Moné, who once called WWE her wrestling home as Sasha Banks. Moné herself has even hinted at making her arrival tonight.

AEW World Champion Samoa Joe will look to make another successful title defense when he collides with Wardlow, the muscle of the Undisputed Kingdom. Former NJPW golden boy Kazuchika Okada will team with his Elite brethren The Young Bucks to take on AEW Continental Champion Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Pac.

That's not all set for tonight's show, as "Switchblade" Jay White will face Darby Allin, who may still have glass on his backside following AEW Revolution. Former NJPW Strong Women's Champion Willow Nightingale will mix it up with ex-AEW Women's World Champion Riho. Plus, Chris Jericho and HOOK team up to settle their grudge with Gates of Agony.

AEW Big Business Results (March 13, 2024)

The show started with Renee Paquette, who was interrupted by someone arriving in a car, but the camera then cut to the arena before fans could see who arrived.

AEW didn't waste any time, as Mercedes Moné is here.

Moné discussed her love for the wrestling industry. She paid tribute to Eddie Guerrero. She got emotional discussing dropping out of school to take care of her brother. Moné made it clear she has a score to settle with Willow Nightingale, but she chose to enjoy her AEW signing for now.

Samoa Joe was interviewed by Renee Paquette backstage. He said Wardlow made a huge mistake challenging him, and that he doesn't lose in the Garden.

A vignette then played featuring the Undisputed Kingdom hyping up Wardlow.

Wardlow went after Joe immediately. On the outside, he ripped a fan's Samoa Joe sign. A spinebuster landed for the challenger. Joe went for a backdrop off the top rope, but Wardlow knocked him down and dove on the champion ahead of the break.

Wardlow's knee buckled, but he faked the injury and gouged the eyes of Joe. He hit a knee strike on the champion for a near fall. Wardlow landed one powerbomb on Joe, but he found himself in the Coquina Clutch.

Wardlow is out, Joe retains.

Winner and STILL AEW World Champion: Samoa Joe

After the match, Swerve Strickland made his way out with a chain, but Joe left the ring. Security attempted to calm Swerve down.

Alex Marvez interviewed The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada. Nicholas Jackson told Marvez to have some respect for "The Rainmaker." Matthew said Okada joined The Elite because they've been friends for years. Okada then forced Marvez to sing Happy Birthday to Matthew.

Kazuchika Okada & The Young Bucks vs. Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, & Pac

Okada teased starting the match with Kingston, but he tagged in Matthew. Kingston chopped Matthew and tagged in Pac. Matthew's efforts for a fist bump went nowhere.

Okada tagged in when Eddie was once again the legal man. They engaged in a chop battle before Eddie ran into Okada's signature dropkick.

Penta landed a cross body on The Young Bucks. Okada ate a springboard dropkick from Pac. Penta and Pac dove on The Young Bucks on the outside.

With the referee's back turned, Nicholas nailed Kingston with a low blow. This allowed Okada to hit the Rainmaker for the three.

Winners: Kazuchika Okada & The Young Bucks

After the match, Okada held up Kingston's AEW Continental Championship.

A vignette played hyping up the I Quit match for the TNT Championship between titleholder Christian Cage and Adam Copeland on the March 20th episode of AEW Dynamite.

Tony Schiavone was in the ring and discussed the April 21st AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. He brought out his guest Will Ospreay, who will face Bryan Danielson at next month's PPV.

Ospreay said he's always wanted to emulate Danielson. He said while he respects Danielson, this match is about reminding people what AEW is. He said the moment he walks into the ring, it's Danielson's life or his, and he isn't planning on dying. Ospreay ended his promo by saying he's on another level.

Deonna Purrazzo said her rivalry with Toni Storm and Mariah May isn't over. She said she will have a tag team partner ready for next week's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Jay White vs. Darby Allin

Darby's injured back and ribs played a role in the match right away. Jay landed some hard chops in the corner. Darby hit a shotgun dropkick. Darby went up the top turnbuckle and hit a Swanton Bomb to Jay on the outside. Darby then hit a suicide dive on the opposite side of the ring.

Jay hit a suplex on Darby right on the barricade. White threw Darby into the ring steps before the ad break.

Jay mocked Darby by going for the Stinger Splash, but Allin ducked. Jay attempted Bladerunner twice, but was countered both times. Darby went for a springboard Coffin Drop, but Jay turned it into a German suplex.

Darby hit the Scorpion Death Drop for a two-count. Jay White's body was near the ring apron, and went for Coffin Drop, but Jay got out of the way. Darby got in the ring before the 10-count, but Jay hit Bladerunner for the win.

Winner: Jay White

Jay offered Darby a handshake, but he flashed the gun hand signal, and the Gunns attacked Darby. Jay put a chair in the ring and Sting's bat. A chair was placed on the ankle of Darby, but The Acclaimed stopped Bullet Club Gold.

Jay hit Billy Gunn over the head with a steel chair. The Gunns then attacked The Acclaimed. White then took Billy out with Bladerunner.

Jay placed a chair on Darby's ankle again. He took Sting's bat and hit the chair to injure Darby.

Chris Jericho & HOOK vs. Gates of Agony

HOOK and Jericho hit a double team suplex on Toa Liona. Bishop Kaun ended up knocking Jericho off the ring apron. Liona eventually sent Jericho crashing near the announce table.

Jericho finally got in some offense with a Lionsault. He tagged in HOOK, who hit a T-Bone suplex on Kaun. He then sent Liona to the outside. HOOK landed a German suplex on Liona.

Jericho pulled Liona to the outside and sent him into the ring post. Jericho and HOOK executed their Redrum-Lion Tamer combo. Jericho knocked Liona off the apron, and HOOK forced Kaun to tap out.

Winners: HOOK & Chris Jericho

Kyle O'Reilly said he wonders if he can still hang with AEW's current roster. He talked about his first match back in almost two years against Bryan Keith on AEW Collision. Roderick Strong told Kyle he has his support if he wants to continue his journey on his own.

Backstage, Riho and Mercedes Moné interacted. Moné wished Riho good luck in her main event match against Willow Nightingale.

Jericho gave Gates of Agony credit for being stiff competition. He said HOOK has future world champion in him. Jericho said next week on Dynamite he wants to face HOOK in a singles match to know more about the FTW Champion.

Riho vs. Willow Nightingale

A shoulder block connected for Willow, followed by a splash. Riho landed two knee strikes to Willow in the corner. Willow landed a dropkick from the second rope going into the break.

Riho hit a 619 on Willow. She then went up the top turnbuckle and landed a diving crossbody. Riho countered the Doctor Bomb into a hurricanrana for a two. Riho then hit a northern lights suplex for a two. 

Willow's back went crashing to the outside. Riho then landed a diving foot stomp on the outside from the apron. A dragon suplex landed from Riho on the apron. She landed the foot stomp, but Willow kicked out.

Willow countered a Jacknife pin with the Doctor Bomb and the win.

Winner: Willow Nightingale

The two hugged after the match, and Willow went on to celebrate. The lights then went out. Julia Hart and Skye Blue appeared to attack Willow, but Mercedes Moné made the save to close the show.
