UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski has his sights firmly set on Ilia Topuria.

Volkanovski's chance to rebound after suffering a brutal knockout loss to Islam Makhachev will come on February 17 at UFC 298. "The Great" will put his 145-pound gold at stake against Topuria inside the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Topuria hasn't been shy in expressing his confidence going into the bout, already calling himself the UFC featherweight king as a manifestation technique.

While the challenger is talking a big game before fight night, Volkanovski knows the spotlight all too well. He is advising his foe to tread carefully.

Alex Volkanovski recently posted a training update video on his YouTube channel. Volkanovski closed out the video by saying that Ilia Topuria will be unable to take the featherweight championship away from him.

"He thinks he's the man, let's see if he is," Volkanovski said. "I'm ready for the best version that turns up February 17th. So, let's see what we have in store. I'm gonna be ready either way. I see he's confidence, he's a cocky, confident young dude. Let's see if he can really bring it 'cause I know I'm gonna, and I can't wait to show him levels. I've seen a lot in my game, I still feel like I'm in my prime, and I get to show this young kid that there's levels, and I am the king of this division and he ain't taking nothing from me. I'm coming for that zero."
