One major name behind the scenes is now gone from WWE.

Departures aren't anything new in the wrestling business. Recently, we've seen the likes of on-air talents Kevin Patrick and Matt Camp receive their releases from WWE. The same goes for those who don't work in front of the cameras.

In this case, it was a former executive who ended up leaving WWE, and the reason isn't clear at this time.

WWE Rumors: Officials Are Reportedly High on Current WWE Champion Amid Rapid Growth

PWInsider reports that John Porco, who had served as the Executive Vice President of Live Events for WWE, exited the company in February. No reason was given for the recent departure at this time.

The report notes that Porco's replacement is Justin Scalise, who had been the SVP of Live Event Marketing. Porco had been a longtime employee with WWE, having started with the company in June 1999 as a Public Relations Coordinator. He was eventually promoted to Director of Marketing for Live Events.

Porco had been named the EVP of Live Events back in May 2022. News of Porco's exit may come as a surprise to some given that he departed in the midst of WrestleMania season.

With that said, Porco isn't the only top WWE name behind the scenes to make an exit just before "The Grandest Stage of Them All." Former WWE Senior Writer Jennifer Pepperman left WWE in favor of linking up with Mercedes Moné, formerly known as Sasha Banks, in AEW.

MMA Knockout will keep you posted if more details surrounding Porco's exit from WWE surface.
