Brendan Schaub Shares Bold UFC 289 Prediction For Oliveira vs. Dariush
Former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub has made his prediction for Charles Oliveira vs. Beneil Dariush.
The lightweight matchup between Oliveira and Dariush has title implications. Dariush insists he's been promised a UFC Lightweight Championship opportunity if he's successful against "do Bronx." The two will collide inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This will be the co-main event of UFC 289.

During the latest episode of "The Schaub Show," Brendan Schaub gave a breakdown of the UFC 289 card. He discussed how much he's looking forward to the matchup between Oliveira and Dariush.
Schaub made it clear that while he has respect for all that Oliveira has accomplished, he doesn't think he'll get the job done on fight night. Schaub is picking Dariush to score a win over the former UFC Lightweight Champion.
"I'm a Dariush fan," Schaub said. "I don't know what it is. I have nothing against Charles Oliveira. He's one of the greatest fighters of all time, first ballot Hall of Famer, one of the best to ever do it. I keep picking against him. This is gonna be no different. I don't know what to tell you guys. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Charles Oliveira."
Schaub expressed his belief that Oliveira's previous opponents have been afraid to engage in the ground game with him. He feels fighters who have rocked "do Bronx" on the feet, haven't capitalize due to fear of Oliveira's grappling. Schaub doesn't think Dariush will feel threatened.
"Dariush is a high-level black belt," Schaub said. "He is not scared of Charles Oliveira's guard, I guarantee you. So, he's gonna hit him and he's gonna not be scared to go down there and finish him. So, I think Dariush gets the finish there. I can even see Dariush getting a submission, but I think Dariush by either KO or submission. This thing's not going five rounds."
