Brendan Schaub Thinks Khamzat Chimaev vs. Paulo Costa Will Be A UFC Blowout
Brendan Schaub is excited to see Khamzat Chimaev vs. Paulo Costa, but he doesn't think it'll be a close fight.
Chimaev and Costa are scheduled to settle their grudge at UFC 294 on October 21. The crowd advantage will be in Chimaev's favor, as the event is being held in Abu Dhabi. Costa says the location won't bother him, and he simply wants to shut his rival down.

During an episode of "The Schaub Show," former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub said he feels Khamzat Chimaev vs. Paulo Costa will be one-way traffic.
"I think Khamzat mops the floor with him," Schaub said. "I don't think it's competitive, and then, everyone will go back and be like, 'Yeah, but if he fights the same way he fought against Gilbert Burns,' I'm like, here's the thing, worst fight of his life. He decided just to stand toe-to-toe with Gilbert Burns, exchange shots, fought like a dumbass early in his career in the UFC. Still won, though. That's what you're gonna harp on? The guy learned from it. Look what he did to Kevin Holland."
Schaub went on to say that Gilbert Burns is no chump. He also expressed his belief that he can't see Paulo Costa doing much to stop Chimaev's pressure.
Time will tell what will transpire on fight night. This will be the first fight for "Borz" since September 2022. As for Costa, he's also been out of action for a while, having not fought since August 2022 when he defeated Luke Rockhold.
