Conor McGregor has responded to the news of Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov failing a drug test.

Cole Shelton of BJPenn.com and Ariel Helwani both reported that Nurmagomedov's October 7 unanimous decision win over Brent Primus has been changed to a No Contest. The California State Athletic Commission has suspended Nurmagomedov for six months for use of a banned substance that he has a prescription for. Nurmagomedov has vehemently denied that he tried to cheat.

Conor McGregor isn't buying it, however. He took to his X account to put Usman Nurmagomedov on blast following the news.

"I am not one bit surprised upon hearing another of the Nurmagomedov team testing positive for steroids. Hypocrites of the highest order. Steroids are HARAM! The shame of Allah hangs over the Nurmagomedev clan. Cheaters! Abdulmanap is doing tumbles in his grave."

McGregor has long had beef with fighters who are linked to UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov. Usman, Khabib's cousin, is no exception. McGregor has also claimed that UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is a drug cheat, and he claims fighters in general from that camp are juicing.

With Bellator's future still having some uncertainty, and Nurmagomedov's suspension put in place, it'll be interesting to see what the future holds for the 25-year-old Usman Nurmagomedov.
