Former UFC Champion Conor McGregor Lets Loose About Return: "It's Looking Like April"
For the first time in over two years, Conor McGregor, former UFC double champion, is inching closer to a return to the Octagon. McGregor was seen at the blockbuster Tyson Fury vs. Francis Ngannou boxing match, where he spoke to media members about when he might return to action.
McGregor entered the USADA pool earlier this month despite the UFC's split with the organization, which begins in January.
At press time, the UFC's pay-per-view schedule will likely continue monthly, which could see UFC 300 fall in April. McGregor said that's the timetable he's targeting as well.

"I would’ve loved it earlier, but if I’m to be honest and be realistic, for my fans, I want to put in a good run, build myself back, and that’s it," McGregor told reporters. "It’s looking like April, mixed martial arts.”
McGregor said the last two years have been the most difficult of his career despite being inactive and away from the sport since July 2021.
"I’ve been kept from my living for almost three years now,” McGregor said. “Understand that. I came through what I came through. I’m sitting on an injury and a loss. You hear what Alexander Volkanovski said? I relate. I must return to my way of living. This is my job. It’s beyond frustrating. … I just want the date. Give me the date, please. That’s it.”
A date hasn't been determined, along with uncertainty around whether or not he'll fight Michael Chandler. The coaches competed against each other on TUF 31 in the spring.
