Conor McGregor has dropped some major news on his UFC return.

Much has been made over the future of the "Notorious" one. Some have questioned whether or not McGregor will ever make the walk to the Octagon again, but now it appears he's looking to clear any doubt of his fighting plans. The holdup had been that McGregor exited the USADA testing pool after suffering a fractured tibia and fibula in his July 2021 trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier.

Fast forward to October 2023, and Conor McGregor has a huge update. "Mystic Mac" posted a screenshot on the X platform of an email welcoming him back to the USADA testing pool.

"Dear Conor McGregor, The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) would like to take a moment to welcome you back as a member of the UFC Registered Testing Pool (RTP)."

This now opens the door for McGregor to finally go one-on-one with Michael Chandler. The two were coaches on opposite sides during season 31 of "The Ultimate Fighter." At one point during the show, McGregor shoved Chandler, who was fired up and appeared to embrace the physicality.

Chandler has long remained optimistic that the bout would happen. Still, there were times when "Iron" urged McGregor to get back in the testing pool. The former two-division UFC champion has fired back at Chandler, telling him to shut up and wait.

MMA Knockout will keep you posted when Conor McGregor's next fight is made official.
