UFC Legend Makes Shrewd Comments On Conor McGregor's Future
A well-known name and former UFC title challenger has some cold words regarding the fighting future of Conor McGregor.
In a recent Instagram post, McGregor declared that he sent his "stuff" to Jeff Novitzky, the UFC's Senior Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance. This implies that McGregor has filled out the necessary paperwork to re-enter the USADA testing pool.
Despite the excitement from MMA fans over the post, Chael Sonnen is not convinced that the "Notorious" one will be putting his gloves back on to fight.

Sonnen recently appeared on "Unlocking The Cage," and told former UFC and Bellator color commentator Jimmy Smith that he doesn't see how McGregor gets a win in 2024 and beyond.
"I think the golden rule of life, according to my mother, is put yourself in somebody else's shoes, and if I was in Conor's shoes I'm not coming back," Sonnen said. "There's just no reason to, it's too difficult to. There's not a victory out there. So, now you're coming back to be part of the moment, this is your identity, you're a fighter, blah, blah, blah, but you're going to lose."
"The American Gangster" then shared a prediction if McGregor actually decides he truly does want back in the fight game.
"When you talk about Conor coming back, no, I don't think he's coming back, and I can all but guarantee you he's never gonna weigh 155 pounds again," Sonnen said.
Michael Chandler waits in the wings for a McGregor showdown. The two were opposing coaches on season 31 of "The Ultimate Fighter." UFC CEO Dana White has insisted that McGregor vs. Chandler is the fight to make.
