Grasso's belt can be seen in-depth in this video posted by the artists 'Taller Jacobo, María Ángeles, and Ricardo Angeles' on September 6:
Though the artists normally work on Zapotec figures, they are pursuing a contemporary route by customizing the championship belts:
"One of the most important tasks of the Jacobo and Maria Angeles Workshop, is to keep popular art active in new generations.
"Sports, beyond being a projection platform for art, have been positioned as the living heroes in this dimension.
"Sport and the arts, hold a deep relationship that generates recreation in being, stimulate us internally and collectively." (via Instagram)
The custom belts for Mexican champions idea goes as far back as July 3, where White discussed his plans during an interview about his sneaker collection. Former interim featherweight champion Yair Rodriguez even had his belt customized in preparation for UFC 290.

Custom belts provide an excellent means of celebrating a fighter's heritage while also supporting local artists. Hopefully, the UFC sets a precedent and explores extending this endorsement to champions from various nations.
