One UFC title challenger had quite the scare during a training session with Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou has developed a reputation for being one of the most feared combat sports athletes today. While many have described him as a gentleman outside of fighting, "The Predator" has taken not only the MMA world by storm, but the boxing space as well.  Ngannou can shut the lights off anyone with one punch, and even scored a knockdown over the lineal boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.

With how vicious Ngannou has looked against the big men in the fighting world, one can only imagine how intimidating he can be rolling with a welterweight. Gilbert Burns found himself in that position with the former UFC heavyweight champion a few years back, and it isn't an experience he wishes to relive.

Appearing on the "Jaxxon Podcast," Burns revealed the story to former UFC light heavyweight titleholder Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Burns claimed things got dicey when he caught Ngannou in an arm submission.

"We still had the Blackzilians, so that's been five years ago, maybe," Burns said. "We grappled hard and I get his arm and he didn't tap. He pop his arm, I was so afraid. I said, 'Oh my God, now this guy gonna kill me now, but he was cool about it. So, we trained before but I don't wanna fight that guy, no way. I don't wanna fight this guy."

Burns can breathe easy knowing that Ngannou's attention is more focused on boxing at the moment, although he still has a PFL contract for the promotion's PPV Super Fight Division. Should Ngannou ask Burns to roll again, perhaps "Durinho" would think twice.
