Joe Rogan is not a fan of USADA's involvement in drug testing UFC fighters.

A lot has been said since the UFC's partnership with USADA began back in 2015. Supporters of USADA's inclusion have praised the agency for cleaning up the sport of MMA. Detractors have criticized the program for still suspending fighters who can prove they took tainted supplements.

USADA has also been slammed for banning supplements that aren't considered to be performance enhancers.

Count UFC color commentator Joe Rogan as a major detractor of USADA's presence in the world of MMA. During a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan reflected on the extreme drug testing measures USADA used to take, and expressed his belief that the UFC should turn to in-house testing.

"Then there's a six-month period USADA has to test them randomly, which I think the USADA thing's a mistake," Rogan said. "I really think they should do all that in-house 'cause USADA does stuff like, well they don't do it anymore, but they were doing stuff like waking guys up at 6:30 in the morning like the day of the weigh-ins and testing them. It was f****** insane, for world title fights, f****** insane."

Rogan believes USADA is doing more harm than good by banning supplements that could be beneficial to the health of fighters.

"There's a real problem where they're stopping guys from taking things like BPC-157, all that stuff does is let you heal," Rogan said. "It's called body protection peptide 157, body protection compound. It's a really good peptide for healing injuries. I think athletes should be able to use everything they can, especially in a sport like MMA."

The UFC voice said he understands there was an issue with MMA fighters having elevated levels of testosterone, which was likely the last straw that led to the UFC partnering with USADA. With that said, Rogan believes athletes should be able to do testosterone if the UFC regulates it to ensure the levels aren't abused.
