Paddy Pimblett Sends Powerful Warning Ahead Of Tony Ferguson Fight At UFC 296
Paddy Pimblett has respect for Tony Ferguson, but he has still made his intentions clear.
The UFC's year-end pay-per-view event, UFC 296, will be held inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 16. One lightweight scrap scheduled for the final PPV card of 2023 is Pimblett vs. Ferguson.
Fans have certainly given their two cents on this matchup. Some feel the bout was made to set Ferguson up for a loss, while others are intrigued by the matchmaking and believe this isn't a guaranteed win for Paddy "The Baddy."

"The Schmo" recently interviewed (and even rolled with) Paddy Pimblett. Two months before the UFC 296 showdown, Pimblett talked about the significance of fighting "El Cucuy."
"Yeah, the Boogeyman, lad," Pimblett said. "It's an honor to share the cage with him to be honest, lad. Someone who's had a 12-fight win streak in the lightweight division."
Respect aside, Paddy "The Baddy" warned Tony Ferguson of his intention on fight night.
"All I'm thinking about now is coming out and finishing Tony Ferguson in the first round," Pimblett said. "Make a statement, let everyone know what they've been missing, and then I'll start looking at ranked opponents in the new year."
Pimblett is currently riding a six-fight winning streak. He is 4-0 under the UFC banner. Pimblett hasn't competed since late 2022, as he was recovering from ankle surgery. It'll be interesting to see how he fares against the battle-tested Ferguson.
