Sean O'Malley's Brutally Honest Take On Aljamain Sterling's Injury Concerns
Don't expect Sean O'Malley to be understanding of Aljamain Sterling's injury concerns ahead of UFC 292.
O'Malley is scheduled to challenge Sterling for the UFC Bantamweight Championship on August 19. The "Suga" show and "Funk Master" will collide inside the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
Sterling had raised concerns over possibly not being ready to fight O'Malley on the UFC's planned date since he's still banged up from his successful title defense over Henry Cejudo earlier this month. Sterling's concern drew the ire of UFC President Dana White, and O'Malley appears to side with his boss.

During an edition of "TimboSugarShow," O'Malley shared his belief that the turnaround for Sterling isn't as quick as some are making it out to be.
"You did just fight, but look at Izzy, motherf***er fought four times in 12 months," O'Malley said. "You have four months. I know you said three months. It was four months from a fight. Take two months off, heal up, and then train hard for two months. It ain't f***ing science. Or is it?"
During the podcast, O'Malley was asked if two months is truly enough time for the "Funk Master" to prepare for the fight. The "Suga" show responded with the following:
"To get knocked out, yeah he'll be alright," O'Malley said. "It's called discipline."
O'Malley earned his title opportunity with a split decision victory over Petr Yan last year. He has gone 4-0, 1 NC in his last five bouts. If O'Malley can defeat Sterling, he'll have beaten the record holder for the most consecutive successful UFC bantamweight title defenses.
