UFC 296: Steve-O Shares Hilarious Reason He's Rooting For Colby Covington
Well-known entertainer Steve-O has a humorous reason for rooting for Colby Covington to dethrone reigning UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
Edwards' upcoming title defense against Covington will be headline UFC 296, which will be held inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the final UFC event of 2023, and it'll take place on December 16.
Steve-O is not a fan of Covington, he admitted during an appearance on "The MMA Hour" last month.

"I just enjoy hating Colby Covington so much that I kind of want him to win, so that he'll still be around for me to keep hating him," Steve-O told Ariel Helwani.
The Jackass star said that he actually likes Leon Edwards as a person. Steve-O's urge to continue despising Covington outweighs his respect for "Rocky."
"I'm just admitting to you, this is the toxicity of, you know, I want Colby to win so that I can keep hating him. And that an embarrassing thing to admit, but I think that's why he's so successful. Nobody's gonna miss a Colby Covington fight because they enjoy hating him so much. There are other fighters that you really don't enjoy hating."
