Tyson Fury's Fiery Response To Anthony Joshua After Fight Talks Collapse
Stop me if you've heard this before: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua isn't happening.
At this point, Fury vs. Joshua has become a fairy tale. It's right up there with the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. More recently, Fury claimed to have sent a draft contract to Joshua's team for a fight in September. This came about after talks between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk went nowhere, with some questioning if Fury actually wants that title unification bout.
Queensberry Promotions' Frank Warren has said that AJ's team turned down the offer, as the plan is for Joshua to fight in August, and then have a clash with Deontay Wilder in December. Whether or not that plan will be executed remains to be seen.
BOXING LEGEND SLAMS TYSON FURY: "YOU GOT YOUR BLUFF CALLED"
Fury was quick to react to the fight falling apart on his Instagram Stories.
"What a proper p**** boy," Fury said. "Usyk is a p**** and so is AJ."
It's yet another dull chapter in the circus that is Fury's fight "negotiations." Many believe "The Gypsy King" moved the goalposts with an unfair purse split for Usyk. When Usyk publicly agreed to a low percentage, the fight still never materialized. Fury has insisted that he isn't part of the problem.
While boxing has had a banner year in 2023 with fights such as Gervonta "Tank" Davis vs. Ryan Garcia and the recently announced Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford title unification bout, Fury finds himself on the wrong side of history.
