A main event for a UFC Fight Night card will undergo a major change.

UFC Nashville is set to take place inside the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on August 5. The main event was supposed to feature a pivotal bout in the bantamweight division. Cory Sandhagen was scheduled to collide with Umar Nurmagomedov.

As plans will be, plans will go awry.

The Schmozone, hosted by The Schmo and Helen Yee, is reporting that the UFC is now looking for a replacement opponent for Sandhagen. Nurmagomedov has been pulled from the fight, but no reason has been given at this time.

Nurmagomedov was hoping to improve his unbeaten pro MMA record to 17-0, but he'll need to wait for that chance. A win over Sandhagen would've put Nurmagomedov closer than ever to a UFC title opportunity, as Sandhagen is the number-four-ranked bantamweight in the world.

Sandhagen was hoping to prove that he's the real boogeyman of the bantamweight division by beating someone who many believe is feared in the weight class. Many were questioning why Sandhagen even took the fight, but he'll have to settle on another 135-pounder.

Keep it locked on our homepage for the latest news on the replacement opponent Cory Sandhagen will be fighting once those details emerge.
