UFC's Jon Jones Open to Box Tyson Fury, Would "Love" Dana White to Make It Happen

Jon Jones isn't letting Tyson Fury forget about his comments.

UFC heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones hasn't forgotten about his verbal spat with heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.

Jones stepped away from the octagon on June 9 to co-host the grand opening of Mandalay Bay's Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar, where he was interviewed by press:

"Oh man, I would love it if Dana [White] could make that fight happen, that's one thing about the UFC we always give the fans what they want to see. Tyson Fury is such a magnificent opponent... It would be awesome to make that fight happen, I'm up for it --- I'd even be willing to box him and let's see what happens."

Jones currently should be scheduled to face Stipe Miocic in August, but it's up in the air whether the fight will actually materialize.

Former UFC fighter turned MMA pundit Chael Sonnen revealed that he had heard "strong rumors that the Jon Jones fight is going to go up in flames and that Sergei Pavlovich versus Jones is happening in August."

This talk surrounding a Jones vs. Fury super-fight is in spite of remarks made by UFC President Dana White, where he claimed that the UFC doesn't do "gimmick fights". It remains yet to be seen whether such a fight can be produced, and whether the UFC can foot the bill that Fury demands, which in his latest fight against Chisora was a whopping $25million guaranteed.
