The unified boxing lightweight championship fight between Devin Haney and Vasiliy Lomachenko has come to a close.

Haney put the WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight titles on the line against Lomachenko in "Sin City." The title fight emanated from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

There was some beef between "The Dream" and "Loma" going into this one. During the weigh-ins, Haney shoved Lomachenko, which took some spectators by surprise. Haney has long expressed his belief that when Lomachenko held lightweight gold, he downplayed him as a challenger and halted his road to the top.

In the first round, Haney's plan was clearly to have Lomachenko backing up. "The Dream" showcased a crisp guard. A hook connected for Haney. Lomachenko fired off some punches as the first round came to a close.

Right hand to the body, followed by a right hand upstairs was there for Haney in the second round. Lomachenko threw a combination to the excitement of the crowd.

Lomachenko doubled up on the left hand early in the third round. He scored a clean uppercut and continued pushing the pace on Haney. "The Dream" connected with a left hook.

The two tied up and tumbled to the mat in the fourth round. With that said, Haney had strong success in this round early, finding the home for that right hand. In the fifth round, Haney connected with body shots on the inside. Lomachenko caught his opponent with two left hands as Haney was backing up near the ropes.

Lomachenko landed a three-punch combination in the seventh round. The two exchanged punches to the delight of the Las Vegas crowd. Haney's body shots were money. After the round, Haney was warned about punches to the back of the head by referee Harvey Dock.

In the 10th round, Lomachenko rocked Haney with a huge punch. Haney weathered the storm. "Loma" pressured Haney with combinations early in round 11. Lomachenko was peppering Haney with shots in the round. Haney had a much better showing in the 12th and final round.

This one went to the scorecards, and Haney was awarded the unanimous decision with scores of 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113.
