VIDEO: Former UFC Fighter Snaps Losing Streak With Vicious First-Round TKO

Randy Costa needed less than a minute to get back into the win column at Combat FC 4 on June 16 after a three-fight losing streak saw him exit the UFC.
“The Zohan” was fairly popular among fans during his six-fight run with the sport’s leading promotion, however no amount of crowd support can change what ended up being a 2-4 UFC record. The 28-year-old had come up with Cage Titans prior to joining the UFC, and he elected to join another Massachusetts-based promotion in Combat FC to potentially start his road back to the top.

Moving up from his usual bantamweight division for a featherweight bout against Carlos Espinosa, Costa reminded fans how incredibly dangerous he is in the first round by absolutely battering Espinosa from the opening bell.
The 35-year-old did well to survive a huge barrage of knees and uppercuts against the fence, but “The Zohan” refused to give him any space to recover until the referee finally decided he’d seen enough.
Costa’s penchant for first-round violence saw him accumulate less than a full round of fight time through his first four pro fights, and all those first-round finishes encouraged the UFC to sign him in 2019. After being submitted in his promotional debut against Brandon Davis, “The Zohan” scored back-to-back knockout wins before being stopped in three-straight fights to bring an end to his run with the UFC.

The 28-year-old has never gone to the judges' scorecards as an amateur or pro, and if he can continue putting on violent performances like he did against Espinosa there’s a good chance that Costa may find his way back to the UFC at some point in the future.
