Like a scene from a horror film, Gustavo Oliveira floored Bruno Augusto Dos Santos with a brutal spinning back elbow at KSW 84 on July 15. Dos Santos' head was split wide open and the doctor called off the fight in the third round.:

KSW shared a picture of the nasty gash caused by Oliveira's elbow which is not for the faint of heart. Dos Santos suffered the wound right on top of his skull and it measured several inches across:

Oliveira (11-2 MMA, 2-1 KSW) extends his winning streak to three, adding another TKO finish to the six on his record, alongside three submissions.

The stoppage wasn't without its controversies, however, as some spectators thought Dos Santos won the first two rounds and deserved the final nod. Most notably, Chute Boxe head coach and manager Diego Lima had something to say about the result on the official KSW Instagram page:

"Absurd that they stopped the fight due to a cut in the third round, [Bruno Dos Santos] had won the first two rounds, stopping the fight because of a cut was absurd, they changed the true result of the fight, it was a mistake !!!!"

Of course, Lima is Dos Santos' head coach.

This spinning back elbow finish marked the first finish of the KSW 84 card, spurring the excitement of the Polish crowd and warming up the octagon for the triangle-choke finish that followed right afterwards.:
