UFC Vegas 75 has had several strange results and early stoppages, but Manuel Torres left nothing to chance.

Torres got off to a shaky start in his fight against fellow lightweight Nikolas Motta, but that didn’t stop him from finding a highlight-reel knockout. Torres was caught with a few big shots in round one but found his opening and unleashed a devastating elbow that ended the fight.

The lightning-quick finish was disorienting for the UFC’s broadcasting team. Current fighter and UFC analyst Paul Felder was impressed by the technical nature of the hellish elbow.

“That was the most beautiful elbow I have seen in a long time.”

In October 2021, Torres put his name in the headlines with a first-round knockout that earned him a UFC contract in Dana White’s Contender Series. Getting to the big stage hasn’t slowed him, as he has stopped both of his first two UFC opponents in the first round.

The Mexican fighter now has five-straight first-round finishes and will likely get a step up in competition next time we see him in the Octagon. Mexico has had a surge of great fighters with Brandon Moreno and Alexa Grasso both currently holding UFC gold.

We could see the exciting 28-year-old fighter very soon if it is up to him. He had a message for UFC matchmaker Sean Shelby after his victory.

“Sixteenth of September, Sean Shelby, I’m ready.”

There is no official fight on that date according to the official UFC schedule, but the promotion will likely want to see this red-hot prospect back in action as soon as possible.
