The Rock is set to begin work on The Smashing Machine, a biopic on former UFC and PRIDE FC fighter Mark Kerr, from May 1st through August 1st, per PWInsider. Locations for the film are reportedly set to be Tokyo, Los Angeles, New Mexico, and Vancouver.
During this time period, The Rock most likely won't be able to do any physical activity on WWE TV. Rumors had been swirling of a potential match between The Rock and Roman Reigns for May 25th in Saudi Arabia, but if the reported timeframe for filming of The Smashing Machine is correct, then WWE may need to hold off on that match.
The Rock's next appearance on WWE TV will be on the March 15th episode of Friday Night SmackDown. That show will emanate from the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee. A report from WrestleVotes claimed there were discussions of WWE possibly hosting "The Rock Concert" segment during this episode, but it has yet to be confirmed as of this writing.
