WWE News: Huge Main Eventer Reacts to Contract Rumors Ahead of WrestleMania 40
A top WWE superstar has weighed in on the speculation regarding his contract status with WWE.
Free agency has been a fun time in the world of wrestling. Over the years we've seen some big moves such as former AEW EVP Cody Rhodes make his way back to WWE, and the former Sasha Banks, known as Mercedes Moné, put pen to paper with AEW.
One significant WWE superstar will reportedly see his current WWE deal end soon, and he has responded to rumors concerning his future.
During an appearance on The Ringer's "The Masked Man Show," Drew McIntyre was asked about the situation, and while he didn't commit to future plans, he did throw in some humor amid the speculation.
"No, there's nothing I can say right now," McIntyre said. "I can say I'm having fun, I can say I intend to continue having fun. I'm in my prime, I'm younger than everyone thinks I am cause I've been around for such a long time. So, I have years to go and no matter what you'll still see Drew McIntyre wrestling. I could say something like, 'Or Drew Galloway.' That would get everyone's attention."
McIntyre will be having a marquee title match at WrestleMania 40 Sunday. He'll be challenging Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, PA on April 7th. What happens with the two-time WWE Champion after "The Grandest Stage of Them All" remains to be seen.
