WWE News: Major Star Upset With Triple H's Response To Vince McMahon Allegations
One big-time WWE superstar of the "modern era" has put Triple H on blast following his response to the Vince McMahon lawsuit.
"The Game," real name Paul Levesque, is WWE's Chief Content Officer, so naturally he was asked about the serious allegations being levied at McMahon. Vince has been accused of sex trafficking by former WWE employee Janel Grant. It was even alleged that McMahon shared explicit photos and video footage of Grant during a contract negotiation period with Brock Lesnar.
Vince McMahon is now out of TKO Group Holdings, while Brock Lesnar's name is being scrubbed off WWE products, such as the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game. Grant is suing WWE, former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis, and McMahon.
Major Update On Brock Lesnar's WWE Future Amid Serious Vince McMahon Allegation
Many have criticized Triple H's response when asked about the situation during the WWE Royal Rumble post-event presser. Levesque answered questions regarding the matter by saying he'd rather focus on the positives of the Rumble show.
Now, one anonymous WWE talent, who is said to be one of the biggest stars of the modern era, implied that Triple H knew exactly what was going on with Vince McMahon before accusations surfaced (quote from Wrestling Observer Newsletter).
“He's the f’n cerebral assassin, best politicking dude in history, literally wormed his way from a green, entry level wrestler into a (still, average wrestler) absolute top of the office, executive, you think he doesn't pay attention to what's going on around him?
"Think he did that without knowing every little thing everywhere in that company? Yet somehow this slipped past his radar?
"The thing about that place is if TKO starts cleaning house, they're gonna show up with a bucket and some Lysol, then realize that shits in the walls, in the floorboards, they're gonna have to bring out the sledgehammer (because) that shit is gonna turn into a demolition job. Down to the foundation, sledgehammer pun not intended.”
At a time where WWE is pulling in record numbers for its business, and the company feels like it's hot, Vince McMahon remains a dark cloud. It's been reported that TKO Group Holdings CEO Ari Emanuel isn't afraid to make sweeping changes within WWE, and that involves removing all of the people who were known as "Vince McMahon guys."
We'll keep you posted with the latest on this serious matter.
