Always on the hunt for new business opportunities, former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has partnered with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Fight fans haven’t seen McGregor step into the cage himself for well over two years at this point, but “The Notorious” regularly attends combat sports events as a spectator and made headlines last April when he appeared at BKFC 41 in Broomfield, CO.
While it doesn’t appear that McGregor will be trying his hand at bare knuckle fighting any time soon, his Forged Irish Stout is now an official partner of BKFC.
It was a huge moment at BKFC 41 when McGregor stepped into the ring for a faceoff with Mike Perry after the UFC veteran bested former champion Luke Rockhold in the night’s main event, and “The Notorious” later expressed massive respect for BKFC in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

BKFC would understandably love to coax the UFC’s biggest star into a bare knuckle bout if he wasn’t already under contract, but the partnership with McGregor is still a significant move for a promotion that’s largely built itself off of signing fighters that previously made names for themselves in MMA.
Perhaps “The Notorious” will try his hand at bare knuckle fighting somewhere down the line, but for now the 35-year-old is preparing to make his long-awaited return to the UFC when he takes on his opposing The Ultimate Fighter coach Michael Chandler in June.
