Ex-UFC Champ Sean Strickland & Boxer Ryan Garcia Hurl Scathing Jabs Over Video

Boxing star Ryan Garcia attracted the attention of former UFC middleweight king Sean Strickland after he posted a cryptic and somewhat confusing video on social media.

“King Ryan” suffered the first loss of his boxing career when he was stopped in the seventh round against Gervonta Davis last year, and after returning to the win column last December the 25-year-old is now scheduled to face WBC World Super Lightweight Champion Devin Haney on April 20.
Garcia’s recent social media activity has garnered some concern among his followers, and a video meant to reassure fans that he was “not dead” but unable to access his phone or credit cards drew a strong reaction from Strickland.
The boxing star was quick to respond to Strickland and criticize his recent “sparring session” with streamer Sneako, and although that initial response was fairly cordial Garcia did turn things up with his follow-up post.

Always happy to trade words with other fighters, Strickland fired back with further criticism aimed at Garcia’s choice to post the video and concluded the exchange with an invitation to settle things in Las Vegas.
“King Ryan” likely won’t take Strickland up on his offer considering he already has a massive fight scheduled against Haney, but with more than a month to go until that matchup it will be interesting to see if Garcia carries on with his recent social media activity and if he engages any further with the former UFC middleweight champion.
