Henry Cejudo Escalates Conor McGregor Feud, Suggests He Is "Running From USADA"

Henry Cejudo has continued taking shots at Conor McGregor in response to the Irishman’s reaction to Cejudo losing in the main event of UFC 288.
“Triple C” made his long-awaited return to the cage last weekend when he challenged Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title in UFC 288’s headlining fight. A former two-division champion, Cejudo previously retired from MMA after capping off a six-fight win streak by defending the bantamweight belt against Dominick Cruz at UFC 249.

The 36-year-old put on an impressive performance at UFC 288 considering the lengthy layoff but came up short when Sterling won the fight via split decision. Cejudo initially appeared unsure about his fighting future in the cage but has since indicated he has no plans of retiring again, and in the aftermath of his loss “Triple C” began engaging in war of words with McGregor.
A video of “The Notorious” celebrating Sterling’s victory while criticizing Cejudo’s performance quickly made the rounds online, and Cejudo wasted no time issuing a response where he threw shade at McGregor’s status with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), as well as his grappling skills.

The fact that McGregor has yet to reenter the USADA testing pool is a major road block to an expected fight between him and Michael Chandler, and “Triple C” decided to double down on that criticism with his most recent tweet.
“The only cardio (Conor McGregor) is doing these days is running from USADA.”
The “Notorious” has been sidelined since suffering a leg injury in his fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 back in 2021. McGregor appeared opposite Chandler as a coach for the upcoming Season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter, however there’s been no concrete progress on scheduling a fight between the two while the former two-division champion remains out of the USADA testing pool.
