UFC: Ian Garry Trashes "Amateurs" Sean Strickland & Dricus Du Plessis (Video)
Ian Garry has responded unfavorably to the efforts of Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297.
Garry filmed himself watching highlights of the UFC Middleweight Championship fight between the two. It was Strickland who was putting the 185-pound title on the line against Du Plessis. There was some intense action in this highly-competitive showdown for UFC hardware. Ultimately, it was "Stillknocks" who earned the split decision victory to capture the middleweight title.
Ian Garry was not impressed.

In a new video posted on social media, Garry is seen reacting to the fight, and he slammed both Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis for their performances.
"Just sloppy boxing, look," Garry said. "Swinging, look at this. The f****** state of this. Zero technique, just slugging it out. Oh my God, I feel like I'm watching two amateurs fight."
Garry felt both men had sloppy standup technique, and he doesn't see himself ever fighting that way.
"If I ever have a fight like that please tell me to retire," Garry said.
Finally, Garry had some parting words for Strickland.
"F*** you, Sean Strickland," Garry said. "Now, that fight's even more available."
Du Plessis caught wind of Garry's video, and he responded to the line Garry had about retiring if he ever had a fight like that.
"Don't worry, you never will," Du Plessis fired back on Instagram Stories.
Garry has ruffled a lot of feathers, but even with his verbal jab toward DDP, the message was more so for Strickland. "The Future" and Strickland have had some bad blood brewing.
It stems from the former UFC middleweight champion urging Garry to leave his wife for using him for status and money. Strickland alleged that Garry threatened to sue him. The two nearly brawled inside the UFC Performance Institute, but they were separated.
