Former UFC 'Baddest Motherf***er' (BMF) title holder Jorge Masvidal revealed that the most he ever earned from a fight in the UFC was $5million. Masvidal admitted the fact on the "Cheetah Podcast" on June 10:

"From a fight... the most --- I'd say around [$5million], total, one fight."

Masvidal also factored in external expenses:

"The UFC takes care of us to an extent with medicals, right? so if anything happens to you at the fight or in preparation for the fight we're very well taken care of .... but we don't have insurance aside of that or like a dental plan but anything that happens relating to fighting or training, they take full care of it."

"Gamebred" didn't specify which fight he earned the money from, though it's most likely any of the fights after the Ben Askren knockout, especially his bouts against Colby Covington or Gilbert Burns. Entering the Askren fight, Masvidal was a resurging talent, and many thought he was put on the chopping block for an easy Askren victory, which couldn't have been more wrong.

The BMF title fight with Diaz and the first title fight against Kamaru Usman were high profile bouts but Masvidal was still peaking as a fan favorite fighter. Masvidal headlined a major pay-per-view (PPV) against Covington, and since he was the 'BMF', it would have earned him PPV points towards his paycheck, so the fight Masvidal describes is likely the Covington headliner.

It's worth noting that Masvidal would have earned PPV points for any PPV he fought as a part of after UFC 244 when he fought Diaz for the belt.

Fighter pay can't be estimated since many of the athletic commissions do not disclose fighter salaries. Only numbers that leave a fighter's mouth or are disclosed by an otherwise reputable source can be trusted, and even then they're not set in stone. Many publications continue to disclose 'estimated' salaries, but they are simply untrue.
