Michael Bisping Gives His Instant Reaction To Anthony Smith's Heartbreaking UFC Vegas 83 Loss
Michael Bisping traded the commentary booth for the studio host chair, reacting to all the fights at UFC Vegas 83, which took place in Las Vegas, Nev.
The co-main event featured a light heavyweight contest between Khalil Rountree and Anthony Smith, which Bisping was locked into.
In a closely-contested affair with Rountree slightly ahead, according to Bisping, Rountree found an opening and finished the former light heavyweight title challenger with a third-round KO/TKO.
Bisping, delayed by a few seconds compared to his counterparts, reacted to Smith's downfall.
"Oh, there it is," Bisping said reacting to the finishing sequence. "There it is. Oh, f***, it's over for sure. Ahhh s***. S***."
Bisping quickly complimented Rountree's (13-5, 1 NC MMA, 9-5 UFC) win, as he proceeded to not pounce on Smith (37-18 MMA, 12-9 UFC) before the referee stepped in.
"Yep, I mean, God bless him," Bisping said. "Look at what other people would have done. I've been on the receiving end of them [shots], but hey, that's it. That's the game. That's the f****** game. You dare to be great."
The loss was Smith's fourth in his last five fights dating back to Sept. 2021, with his lone win coming against Ryan Spann in August via split decision.

As for Rountree, it was his fifth-straight win as he'll look to move into the upper-echelon of the light heavyweight division in 2024.
The event was the UFC's last Fight Night card of the year, as UFC 296 will play host from the T-Mobile Arena to close out the 2023 schedule.
