Former UFC fighter-turned-commentator Paul Felder (9-6 UFC) is itching to get back into competition thanks to Jim Miller's UFC Vegas 84 win Saturday against Gabriel Benítez, where he secured a third-round neck crank in the night's co-main event.

Felder, 39, competed in the promotion for six years from 2014-2020, facing some of the best the sport had to offer.

One of those bouts nearly included a fight against Miller, as the pair were scheduled to fight in 2015, but it was canceled due to injury.

Nine years removed from the one-time canceled booking, Felder said he has inquired about competing in the promotion's milestone event, UFC 300, scheduled for April 13 in Las Vegas, Nev., at T-Mobile Arena.

"I was like, 'Man, I don't know. I don't know if I want to come back anymore,'" Felder said after the event. "And, when we talked to Jim in the fighter meetings, obviously, the people around me are kind of egging it on and pushing me [to fight]. And, I was like, 'If you call me out, Jim, it's something I'd be interested in doing.' And he was like, 'If you can get me a job sitting next to you at the desk, we'll make it a deal."

Despite the fight's interest toward hardcore MMA fans, Felder said there are factors he needs to consider about a potential comeback, which includes his wife's approval, the UFC's blessing, and his commitment to training for the next three months.

UFC 300 is still being put together, as a confirmed main event hasn't been announced.
