Sean O'Malley would absolutely coach the next season of 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF), so long as he is the UFC bantamweight champion at the time.

Appearing on the June 1 episode of the "BrOmalley Show" on YouTube, O'Malley opened up on his TUF coaching aspirations:

"It would be fun because I would bring the team .... I think that would be fun. But for me, I think team coaching --- obviously I'd want to be champ, I'd want to be --- I feel like I have a lot to teach that's not necessarily just fighting...

"Preparing for fights, I feel like I do it better than anybody in the game."

"Suga" fights for bantamweight gold against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292, Aug 19. Oddsmakers have O'Malley as a sizeable underdog, coming in at +200 odds

O'Malley has defied oddsmakers and naysayers before, however, when he won a split decision against Petr Yan as a +330 dog. Despite this, the consensus among fight fans is that Sterling holds all the major advantages in the matchup.

Despite this, O'Malley believes he'll "shock the world," revealing his underdog mentality on the May 8 episode of "The MMA Hour":

"I’m very excited for the challenge .... I do believe I have the ability and the skills to go out there and shock the world because I do believe I’m going to be a massive underdog."

With a victory over Sterling, and a championship title around his waist, O'Malley would have a great claim to coach the show. In terms of potential bantamweight opponents, we have Merab Dvalishvili, Cory Sandhagen, and Marlon Vera, each with tangible cause to compete against "Suga".
