Earlier this week it was revealed that former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira will meet #4-ranked Arman Tsarukyan in Las Vegas, and now Dana White has finally announced that Weili Zhang will defend her strawweight title against #2-ranked Yan Xiaonan.
Currently, in her second reign as UFC strawweight champion, Zhang submitted Carla Esparza to reclaim the belt last year before she defended the title in dominant fashion against Amanda Lemos at UFC 292.

Yan joined the UFC in 2017 and quickly put together a six-fight win streak before she suffered the first back-to-back losses of her career, but "Nine" rebounded with a decision win over Mackenzie Dern before she most recently knocked out former champion Jessica Andrade at UFC 288.
As it stands, UFC 300 currently looks like this:
• Strawweight Title Bout: Weili Zhang vs. Yan Xiaonan
• Light Heavyweight Bout: Jiří Procházka vs. Aleksandar Rakić
• Lightweight Bout: Charles Oliveira vs. Arman Tsarukyan
• Featherweight Bout: Aljamain Sterling vs. Calvin Kattar
• Middleweight Bout: Bo Nickal vs. Cody Brundage
The announcement of a sensational matchup between Zhang and Xiaonan was certainly welcome news to fight fans, and White also teased that he plans to reveal more bouts for UFC 300 in the next few days.
