UFC 300 News: Dana White Says He Sells 'Holy S*** Moments' After Max Holloway's KO Against Justin Gaethje
UFC CEO Dana White has seen the growth of MMA and combat sports from a front row seat, which included UFC 300 Saturday in Las Vegas, Nev.
White marveled at the outcome of the lightweight bout between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway, which was contested for Gaethje's "BMF" strap.
"People always ask me what I do," White told reporters at the post-fight presser. "I sell holy s*** moments for a living. That was the ultimate holy shit moment of all time. If you were at home, if you were in a bar, or if you were here live tonight, there's no bigger holy s*** than that."
In what was shaping up to be a unanimous decision victory for Holloway, the ex-Hawaiian UFC featherweight champion pointed to the blue-grey Octagon canvas, shouting as if to say, "Let's fight" and then landed an all-time hook sending shockwaves through a sold-out T-Mobile Arena.
White said it would be nearly impossible to top a knockout as good as Holloway's for the rest of 2024, maybe of all-time, making it a moment frozen in time.
With the victory, Holloway, 32, earned $600,000 in bonus money, setting himself up for bigger and better competition moving forward. One option is newly minted featherweight champion, Ilia Topuria, who knocked out Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in February.

White called Holloway one of the greatest featherweights of all-time, if not the greatest ever, arguing the fight against Gaethje could have been the main event of UFC 300, if not any other event.
For now, Holloway's next fight remains to be seen.
