Bo Nickal took center stage to kick off the UFC 300 card against Cody Brundage.

Much had been made about Nickal's opening main card spot, but Bo certainly wasn't going to complain about it. In fact, he mocked those who were complaining about him getting the first bout on the pay-per-view portion of the card.

Nickal did end up winning his fight as most expected.

Brundage wasn't afraid to throw out some offense early. The two rolled on the ground before Nickal had his opponent against the fence. Bo hit a double leg takedown, but Brundage got back up to his feet with his opponent still holding him.

Bo went for a choke, but Brundage avoided danger for the time being. Nickal moved to full mount before going for the back of his opponent again.

Nickal caught a kick early in the second round, but Brundage avoided the takedown. Bo went for the takedown again, but this time he scored it. Cody's corner continued calling for the left underhook while their fighter was on his back. Ultimately, Nickal sunk in the rear-naked choke to force the tap.

Winner: Bo Nickal
