UFC Fan Rushes Sean Strickland During UFC 297 Press Conference
One fan got a chance to meet Sean Strickland at the expense of being booted from a UFC press conference.
Strickland was a part of the UFC 297 press conference on Thursday to hype up his middleweight title defense against Dricus Du Plessis. While both men brawled in the crowd during UFC 296 back in late 2023, Strickland and Du Plessis have developed mutual respect for one another, and things were cordial between the two.
With that said, there was still plenty of chaos to go around during the UFC 297 presser, including a fan who had to be escorted away by security.

At some point during the UFC 297 press event, the overzealous fan approached Sean Strickland and was quickly brought down by the UFC's security team. Luckily, it appears that despite the fan's infraction, UFC CEO Dana White and Strickland had a good laugh about it, and the fan seemed satisfied even while he was being escorted out of the presser.
Here is what it looked like on the official broadcast, as well as an angle from the crowd:
UFC 297 will be held inside the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday night. Sean Strickland vs. Dricus Du Plessis won't be the only title fight on the card. In the co-headliner, Raquel Pennington and Mayra Bueno Silva will fight for the vacant UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship.
