UFC News: 4 Weight Misses & 1 Cancelled Fight for UFC Fight Night

Quite a few fighters missed the mark for this weekend’s fight night. 

UFC Vegas 90 takes place on Saturday, headlined by a middleweight rematch between top-15 contenders Brendan Allen and Chris Curtis. The promotion lands at the UFC Apex once more before heading to a packed T-Mobile Arena for UFC 300 on Apr. 13.

The two men on the marquee Allen and Curtis made weight for their main event at 186lbs, but for everybody else on the fight card? Not exactly. 

A total of 26 fighters would step onto the scales, with four of them missing weight by a decent margin. UFC veterans Alexander Hernandez and Cynthia Calvillo landed over the weight limit with the promotion pulling the plug on Calvillo’s bout against Piera Rodriguez altogether, marking her second-straight fight cancellation.

Hernandez weighed in at 150lbs for his first attempt and proceeded to cut 2.5lbs to weigh in at 147.5lbs, still missing the featherweight limit of 146lbs (h/t: MMA Junkie’s Ken Hathaway).

Additionally, what was supposed to be women’s bantamweight bout between Melissa Mullins and Nora Cornolle has turned into a catchweight bout after the fighters both missed weight oddly enough.
