Colorado's Travis Hunter Signs New NIL Deal with Clothing Company

Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter is capitalizing heavily on his notoriety with a new clothing deal with American Eagle.

University of Colorado two-way player Travis Hunter continues to rack up the partnerships through NIL, as he announced a partnership with American Eagle last week.

Hunter made the announcement on his Instagram page, showing off some of their clothing with a caption that read “Off The Field Comfort With @americaneagle #AEPartner #aejeans.”

Hunter was considered by some to be the nation’s top recruit when he came out of high school and shocked many when he decided to sign with Jackson State instead of Florida State, the school many though he would sign with.

In signing with Jackson State as part of the Class of 2022, he joined then-JSU coach Deion Sanders and enrolled early with the Tigers, playing in their spring game and starting as both a wide receiver and defensive back as a freshman as the Tigers won the SWAC Championship.

When Sanders opted to take over the program at Colorado, Hunter was one of the many JSU players that followed him to Boulder.

Hunter had an incredible season opener against TCU, as he played both ways in a 45-42 win over the College Football Playoff finalists from a year ago. Hunter played 147 total snaps, finishing with 11 receptions and 119 yards on offense, along with three tackles, an interception and three passes defended on defense.

Hunter later missed three games after he lacerated his liver after he took a big hit in the Buffaloes’ third game against Colorado State.

Hunter’s return against Stanford included 157 plays, 13 receptions for 140 yards and two touchdowns on offense. Hunter gave up just one completion on the six passes that the Cardinal threw his direction.

Hunter isn’t the only collegiate partnered with American Eagle. Another of its partners is LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne.
