Crocs has announced its 2024 NIL class with six of the best athletes in the country, from the worlds of gymnastics and basketball.
The footwear brand says that its newest NIL partners understand that to perform at the level that they need to, rest and recovery are as important as competing. The unique offering has been a staple in athlete's lives since the existence of the company.
Crocs' 2024 NIL roster includes:
- Frederick Richard - Gymnastics; University of Michigan
- Jared McCain – Basketball; Duke University
- Janiah Barker – Basketball; Texas A&M
- Mackenzie Mgbako – Basketball; Indiana University
- DJ Rodman – Basketball; University of Southern California
- Grace McCallum – Gymnastics; University of Utah
Richard, a three-time NCAA champion, wanted to work with Crocs due to the uniqueness of the product.
“I chose to work with Crocs because I like how they went against the norms and created a very unique product that people fell in love with.”
Jared McCain, a social media sensation and averaging nearly 13 points at Duke, said that teaming up with Crocs was a no-brainer.
“Teaming up with Crocs was a no-brainer for me as they have always been my go-to for comfort and versatility. I prefer working with brands that I'm already aligned with because it just creates a more organic and authentic experience.”
DJ Rodman - Dennis Rodman's son - expressed his appreciation for the shoe.
“I wanted to work with Crocs because I love them. I think they are the most effortless comfortable shoe.”
Mackenzie Mgbako, Grace McCallum, and Janiah Baker also expressed their excitement and knew they wanted to be a part of the Crocs crew. Barker had the following to say about the deal:
"For a basketball player, versatility is the name of the game, and no one understands that more than Crocs. Ever since I first saw them as a kid and the impact they had on my generation, I knew I wanted to be a part of the Crocs family."
With a diverse roster of new athletes joining the brand, Crocs continues to make waves in the NIL space.
