To celebrate Paige Bueckers’ return to the NCAA Tournament - after recovering from a torn ACL - Gatorade worked with the 2021 Player of the Year to co-produce a short film detailing her road to recovery following her injury that sidelined her for the entire 2022-23 season.

The manifesto, titled Shine Your Light, premieres today and details her long-awaited comeback, the adversity she faced along the way and how she persevered despite the challenges.

Now, as the Big East Player of the Year leads UConn into March Madness she has already announced a return next year for another season.

In addition to the film premiere, Gatorade will make $25,000 donations to both Laureus USA and the Paige Bueckers Foundation to celebrate the launch of Shine Your Light and expand access to sport for young athletes.

“It was always my dream to work with Gatorade, and the reality has been even better than I imagined because together we are elevating women and our stories," Bueckers shared. "This manifesto and the donations to Laureus USA and the Paige Bueckers Foundation are just the next chapter in that partnership. I hope this film inspires people and shows that no matter the obstacles you face, you can shine.”

The video premiere is part of Gatorade’s continued efforts to inspire the next generation of women basketball players during the most exciting month of the season.

Shine Your Light was released this week in addition to Caitlin Clark’s first Gatorade signature drop, which sold out on Tuesday.
