Heisman Finalists Work at New York City Raising Cane's
Ahead of Saturday night's Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York City, finalists Jayden Daniels of LSU, Bo Nix of Oregon and Michael Penix Jr. of Washington came together to put in a little work.
With a packed schedule of media interviews and photo opportunity obligations during their Big Apple visit, the quarterback trio was able to carve out some time for a NIL moment as well.
Through their partnerships with Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers, the signal callers - minus the fourth Heisman finalist, wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. of Ohio State - appeared at the fast-food restaurant chain's flagship location in Times Square for shifts of their own.
The trio - who coincidentally, are all transfer portal success stories - took turns making chicken fingers, posing for photos, announcing customer orders and meeting with attending media and Raising Cane's Founder and CEO Todd Graves.
The Baton Rouge-based brand may be inherently Daniels and LSU fans, but didn't play favorites during the athletes' appearance.
At Friday's College Football Awards, the Heisman finalists all competed for additional individual hardware. Daniels - who this week won the AP Player of the Year - almost swept the night, winning the Walter Camp Player of the Year, Davey O'Brien Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, while Penix Jr. earned the Maxwell Award and Nix took home the William V. Campbell Trophy. Harrison Jr. won the Biletnikoff Award for best receiver.
Per BetMGM odds, Daniels is still the Heisman favorite at -1400 with Penix (+900), Nix (+2200) and Harrison Jr. (+20000). The Heisman Trophy ceremony kicks off Saturday night at 7PM ET on ESPN.
