In conjunction with the recent 2024 season first kick, Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City has added a new member to their Sporting U NIL Program. The club revealed that Iowa State wide receiver Jaylin Noel - a Kansas City-native - has signed a NIL deal for the upcoming campaign.

The Cyclones' co-captain and Second Team All-Big 12 performer last season led Iowa State in receptions (66) and receiving touchdowns (7) as a junior. Entering his senior season, he's expected to continue to grow his career stat sheet of 165 receptions, 1,661 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Noel became the first FBS player since 2014 to have four 50+ yard receptions, two 50+ yard kick returns and two 30+ yard punt returns in a single season.

Sporting KC's NIL program provides a platform for the club to celebrate and interact with homegrown athletes on college campuses across the Midwest. Through the partnership, athletes receive a financial stipend, tickets to Sporting KC home matches and merchandise from SportingStyle.

Noel is one of six athletes with KC roots participating in the Sporting U NIL Program, joining:

  • University of Missouri kicker Blake Craig
  • Kansas State University defender Jericho Frigon
  • University of Missouri midfielder Keegan Good
  • University of Kansas forward Hallie Klanke
  • University of Kansas running back Devin Neal
