Notre Dame Star Partners with Investment Platform to Close Racial Wealth Gap

Through Stackwell NIL deal, Olivia Miles provides seeded investment accounts to all Fighting Irish athletes

Although still recovering from a torn ACL, Notre Dame women's basketball star Olivia Miles is finding new ways to support not just her teammates, but all Fighting Irish athletes.

Through an innovative NIL partnership with Stackwell Capital, the All-American Miles is providing access to financial education and seeded investment accounts to all student-athletes in South Bend.

Stackwell Capital is a digital investment platform that eliminates the racial wealth gap with tools designed to increase Black ownership of financial assets. As part of the collaboration with Miles, Stackwell will open investment accounts with $25 for every Fighting Irish athlete.

“Working with Stackwell for me was a must because of how much I believe in their mission," Miles shared with Sports Illustrated. "I always want to make sure that I am an advocate for athletes and my community first and foremost, so when this opportunity came about it was the perfect fit for what my goals are off the court.”

In addition to the investment accounts for her fellow student-athletes, Miles will be featured in Stackwell's NIL newsletter and content series with Founder and CEO, Trevor Rozier-Byrd.

“We’ve always been struck by Olivia’s talent and leadership abilities both on and off the court," added Rozier-Byrd. "To us, Olivia very clearly represents the next generation of leaders in sports, business and finance that we want to align ourselves with as we continue to scale the impact of our company. We are excited to be part of Olivia’s leadership journey as she further positions herself as an advocate for other student-athletes on Notre Dame’s campus and nationally.”

Miles earned second-team All-American and first-team All-ACC honors last season as a sophomore, leading Notre Dame in rebounds (7.2), assists (6.9) and steals (2.1) per game, while ranking second in points (14.3).

Injuring her ACL in Notre Dame's regular season finale last February, Miles has been rehabbing and expanding her impact off the court since, partnering with such companies as lifestyle Playa Society, where she became their first college athlete partner and took the title of Director of Growth and Innovation.

“Working together with Olivia, we are always seeking out meaningful partnerships that not only represent her commitment to excellence on the court but off the court as well," shared Miles' agent Kailey Edwards of Voltage Management. "For myself, making sure she is set up for not only her time in college but her life beyond basketball is the most important thing.”
