Basketball and new partnerships appear to be driving the top 10 schools in sales at the NIL Store in January.

The NIL Store announced its Top 10 earlier this week. The figures are based on sales of officially licensed merchandise sales on the NIL Store network. The released noted that the NIL Store surpassed $1 million in athlete payouts.

Two new NIL Store partners made the Top 10 in their first month, as North Carolina was No. 3 and Georgetown was No. 4.

North Carolina’s new NIL Store featured merchandise for athletes in all 28 Tar Heel sports, with the story noting that softball player Lexi Godwin and men’s basketball player RJ Davis in the Top 10 in sales.

More than 200 Georgetown athletes had merchandise on the site, with men’s basketball players Wayne Bristol Jr. and Jayden Epps leading the way.

Purdue, anchored by men’s star basketball Zach Edey, led the NIL Store in January sales. While the NIL Store didn’t release sales figures, it did note that Edey and his teammate, Lance Jones, were the top two selling athletes in the network.

The pair had five of the Top 10 selling products.

UConn was No. 2, with women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers anchoring the Huskies’ store as the NIL Store’s top-selling women’s jersey. Her UConn pink jersey for the Huskies’ annual “Play4Kay” Pink game was a Top 10 piece of merchandise.

The rest of the Top 10 included Illinois at No. 5, Iowa at No. 6, Ohio State at No. 7, Nebraska at No. 8, Marquette at No. 9 and Indiana at No. 10.

Outside of the merchandise sales, the NIL Store also started collective collaborations with Washington, Mississippi State, Iowa and Iowa State.
