Colorado's Sanders Brothers Star in Google Commercial
After Friday night's 56-14 defeat at the hands of Washington State - Colorado's fifth loss in a row - Deion Sanders' Buffaloes were officially eliminated from bowl eligibility. However the Sanders family continues to appear on national TV - even as the team struggles - with Coach Prime's sons Shedeur and Shilo starred in a new commercial for Google, which debuted over the weekend.
The Buffalo quarterback and safety duo are the latest college football stars to partner with Google Shopping, who last week launched similar campaigns with Heisman frontrunner Bo Nix of Oregon and Sam Hartman of Notre Dame.
The Sanders' Google video - unlike Nix and Hartman, which were digital-only - aired on FOX during college football action over weekend. The commercial was created with Team Whistle, a social first sports and entertainment publisher.
The Colorado brotherly duo shared the commercial on Monday via an Instagram collab post.
The family's NIL dominance continues to highlight the unique opportunity that college athletes have to build their personal brands and business portfolios despite any on-field challenges. Defending Heisman winner Caleb Williams of USC is another example who is a leader in the NIL space despite his team's consistent struggles to end the season.
Friday night was especially tough for Shedeur, who after four sacks in the first half, was knocked out of the game due to injury. However, his first half yardage total was enough to earn him the top spot on Colorado's all-time single season yardage list with 3,230.
This latest Google campaign follows Shedeur, Shilo and Coach Deion Sanders' commercial a year ago - while at Jackson State - for the tech giant's Chromebook offering.
Colorado wraps up their season on Saturday against Utah at 3PM ET on the Pac-12 Network.
