The Texas A&M football program won 51-10 on Saturday night against Mississippi State in College Station. Then, on Sunday morning, the Aggies decided to buy out Jimbo Fisher and search for a new head coach.

The Aggies are paying Fisher an eye-popping, unbelievable buyout of $76.8 million (yes, really). As a result, the Texas A&M job should be the most appealing this offseason, especially with the absurd amount of money they are willing to pay coaches and players.

The Aggies aren't afraid to pay their next head coach, and the NIL resources are said to be one reason why this will be a premier opening, per Pete Nakos of On3.

One collective operator mentioned the following: “The amount of money they are offering freshmen right now seems like they have the resources to make this a very appealing job."

Alabama head coach Nick Saban ruffled some feathers by stating that Fisher and Texas A&M "bought players", which prompted a must-see back-and-forth between the two coaches.

Another collective operator mentioned to On3 that “A&M has to be one of the top collectives because of their sheer buying power. Not a lot of creativity. But they have unlimited cash. If it comes down to who has the deepest pockets, they’re winning.”

Texas Aggies United is the NIL collective for A&M, and the deep pockets, willingness and resources to pay top transfers and recruits could be a huge incentive for the replacement of Jimbo Fisher.

The donors are passionate about Texas A&M football, and after Jimbo Fisher's frustrating tenure at College Station, they could back this program even more as they search for college football relevancy once again. Whoever comes on board next could be lured by big NIL spending.
