The College Football Playoff is here and New Year's Day is chocked full of action with Michigan taking on Alabama early in the Rose Bowl and the day concludes with Washington facing Texas late in the Sugar Bowl.

But among the media blitz covering the events, one player stood out among the rest: Longhorns quarterback and NIL top earner Arch Manning.

On Saturday during a media day, Texas starting quarterback Quinn Ewers was scheduled for a press conference. As he sat at the podium ready to field questions he looked around at the empty seats.

Not a single reporter was there to ask questions.

Instead, they all stood huddled around the $2.8 million man in Manning as he made his first media appearance as a member of the Longhorns. It was a moment caught on camera and it went absolutely viral.

Arch can't help he is a Manning and it was the first time the media was able to speak with the quarterback since his arrival in Texas. Add in the rumors that Manning is looking to transfer for guaranteed playing time and it makes sense. Still, it's a strange scene.

Manning will play as Ewers backup on Monday in the Sugar Bowl and, as Manning acknowledged, is just one play away from taking a snap after Maalik Murphy entered the transfer portal and committed to Duke in December.

With Ewers status up in the air for the 2024 NCAA football season and Murphy gone, there is no telling to what Manning's future holds in the next few months. Pretty soon, the entire thing could be the Manning Show.
