UNLV NIL Collective to Host $100K Half-Court Shot
The official NIL collective of UNLV - Friends of UNILV - has partnered with Palms Casino Resort to launch a "$150K Half-Court Madness" campaign that offers fans a new way to support both Rebel basketball teams, while also giving them a chance to win some lucrative prizes.
Rebel supporters can enter to win a chance to shoot a $100,000 half-court shot and over $50,000 in other prizes. Per the collective, participants will receive a drawing entry for every dollar pledged, plus up to $100 in Free Play or Dining Credits from Palms Casino Resort for their donation, essentially paying them back for contributing.
“This promotional event is groundbreaking with a new and thrilling way for UNLV fans to support Rebel basketball student-athletes at a time when it is most needed, have some fun and win huge prizes while they’re at it.” said Friends of UNILV General Manager, Shayne Odum. “$150,000 Half-Court Madness gives fans the opportunity to have a once-in-a-lifetime Las Vegas experience at Palms Casino Resort, have a shot at winning prizes every week, and even pay them back for their donation. Everybody wins.”
Fans will be able to donate and qualify for the prizes starting at $25 and for every dollar donated, supporters will receive an equal number of drawing entries into the $100,000 half-court shot when the UNLV hosts NCAA Tournament runner-up San Diego State on March 5.
The fan selected to take the half-court shot will also receive a two-night stay in the exclusive Hardwood Suite at Palms Casino Resort - valued at $25,000 per night - that includes a $300 dinner at Scotch 80 restaurant, $300 in spa treatments and $100 in Free play.
UNLV's women's team is currently 11-1 and play Colorado State on Saturday while the men's team is 7-5 on the season and next visits San Diego State.
