USC Five-Star Recruit ewSigns NIL Deal with Alo Yoga
Julian “Juju” Lewis won’t play for USC football until 2025 - unless he decides to reclassify - but it doesn’t mean he can’t build up his Name, Image and Likeness portfolio in advance.
Lewis, a five-star quarterback prospect who has already committed to the Trojans, became the first high school athlete to sign an NIL partnership with Alo Yoga, per On.3.com. In doing so he follows in the footsteps of another USC quarterback, Caleb Williams, who is headed for the NFL.
Other football players who have a deal with the company include Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy.
Lewis is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback out of Carrollton, GA., where he plays for Carrollton High School. Georgia high school athletes were only able to begin striking NIL deal last fall. Now, Lewis has representation with Athletes First and a growing portfolio even though he can’t sign a national letter of intent with USC until December.
That portfolio is built on his reputation as a player that is considered among the Top 25 players regardless of position in the 2025 recruiting class.
Since signing with Athletes First, Lewis has agreed to deals with Leaf Trading Cards and Jaxxon, the latter of which is a jewelry brand.
Per On3.com, Lewis already has a valuation of $615,000, which is ranked No. 76 among the site’s Top 100 athletes. He also has the highest valuation of any prep player.
USC went 8-5 in 2023 under Lincoln Riley, winning the Holiday Bowl over Louisville. This fall, USC, UCLA, Oregon and Washington will join the Big Ten Conference, while four other Pac-12 teams — Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado and Utah — join the Big 12. Cal and Stanford are joining the ACC.
